This morning on Morning Joe, they did an extended interview with Christie ...

He really scares me.

Several things stood out in the interview ... he says the most outrageous things, with a straight and sincere face (example: "as a US Attorney, I know that Paris justifies unlimited surveillance on Americans&quot ; he is able to lie with a straight and sincere face (Example: "The War on Terror has special meaning to me ... I was appointed to be a US Attorney of September 10 (or was it 9/12)"; but the fact is, he was appointed 12/07/01 and confirmed 12/20/01 and sworn in 1/17/02); But I really enjoyed seeing "the media" push back on pure nonsense ... and it summed up my first two points nicely ... they were talking climate change and he first said that climate change wasn't man-made ("the climate is changing all the time and mankind has little to do with it&quot ... media pushback (What did you just say? ... Then he said he didn't say what he just said ("well, I mean the question is still out on whether climate change is man-made ... plenty of scientist agree with me." ... media push-back (Like who, name one) ... then, "Look, the climate is changing and man has a hand in it; but, I just don't see it as a crisis. (Wait what ... record velocity storms/hurricanes literally drown the East Coast, including his state ... scientists predict in less than 70 years, chunks of his state will be underwater ... and he doesn't see climate change as a crisis!

He is one scary guy ... that the media and gop is attempting to rehabilitate to appear reasonable, if not, sane!

prosecutors. I have known a couple of chief prosecutors who were really good guys and would refuse to prosecute "because it was just wrong". But not many are like that, it seems to be a jumping point for politics.

The criminal side of profession got stale when I realized that, both, the prosecution and defenders, cared little about justice; only caring about their personal Win/Loss record. That is why we have so many pleas, there is an unspoken agreement that pleas don't count against the defense's Win/Loss record; but, does count for the prosecution. So you get PDs pushing their clients to enter pleas; which, the prosecution are more than willing to offer.

Bridgegate - driven by Steve Kornacki on MSNBC weekends - pissed ol' Christie off, so he stopped appearing on MSNBC.

Since MSNBC reset away from "100%" left lean, Trump and Christie are now back as regulars.

MSNBC has become almost unwatchable. If Rachel ever fawns over Christie or Trump, it's over.

Joe and Mika fawn over him so much that it's almost soft core porn.
I'm in a household where Morning Joe is on each morning.
I occasionally watch some or see it in passing.
Seems like Christie is on a lot and he can do no wrong in their eyes.
Guess they never have to cross any blocked bridges...lol.

She used to at the very least roll her eyes, but now we mainly get demur looks and quiet naval gazing while he bloviates his rightwing propaganda.

We used to have a Point/Counterpoint dynamic, but I guess money changes everything. It's a good gig!

I think things changed when she and Joe started doing paid public appearances together.
I think they are now personal friends and she's more concerned with making sure that he doesn't say something inappropriate than she is in presenting an alternate opinion.
Sad what she has become. Bet her Dad is disappointed.

one gossip item says they have an apartment in NYC. They travel EVERYWHERE together. Colbert once made a dig about it to her face.

she frequently will touch his UPPER THIGH and grab his hand when he goes on rants she and tries to calm him down. I don't think she realizes it when she does it.

I hope she and her husband have privately separated, otherwise uh...

(2 nominees in 25 years, Reagan 1980 and McCain 2008).

But you're right. the guy is scary. He is able to say anything with a straight face. This said, not sure there is a choice that is not scary among this bunch (Trump, Carson, Cruz, Fiorina, Rubio are worse, and you know how bad the bunch is when Bush is the most palatable choice ( )

Joe indicated that he has/knows of information that shows the efficacy of water-boarding ... he is just not at liberty to disclose the information.

This follows a boast that foreign diplomats have confided in him (and Mika?) that they are hesitant to join a coalition to address ISIS because they don't trust President Obama to not leave them holding the bag ... he just doesn't want to out diplomats of US allies.

Sure you do and sure have, Joe.
