http://www.alan.com/2015/11/30/mississippi-governor-obama-attacked-our-faith-by-welcoming-refugees/#To Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant, welcoming refugees to the United States is somehow an attack on Christians.
Bryant was among the governors who demanded an end to the resettlement of Syrian refugees in the U.S., calling the plans to take in at least 10,000 refugees extremely dangerous and pledging to do everything humanly possible to stop any plans from the Obama administration to put Syrian refugees in Mississippi.
He appeared today on the American Family Radio show Todays Issues to highlight his opposition to refugees, citing a group of Syrians who turned themselves into U.S. authorities on the Mexican border as further proof that America is facing a serious threat from the refugees.
Bryant also told American Family Association President Tim Wildmon that the president wants to attack our faith by saying that we as Christians should be more open and welcoming.

Love strangers as you love yourself.
The stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself. Leviticus 19:34
Love ye therefore the stranger. Deuteronomy 10:19
Treat them fairly.
Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger. Deuteronomy 24:17
Let them live with you.
Though he be a stranger ... he may live with thee. Leviticus 25:35
Don't vex or oppress them.
Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him. Exodus 22:21
Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger. Exodus 23: 9
If a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. Leviticus 19:33
Oppress not the stranger. Jeremiah 7:6
Oppress not the ... stranger. Zechariah 7:10
Leave some of your crops unharvested so that they will have something to eat.
Thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger. Leviticus 19:10
When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger.... When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger.... When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger..... Deuteronomy 24:19-21
Don't hurt them.
Do no violence to the stranger. Jeremiah 22:3
Whatever you do to strangers you do to Jesus.
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in. Matthew 25:35

(54,027 posts)14. In case you forgot the story of the Good Samaritan, his point is, it destroys Christianity...
...when you stop to help the needy. The point isn't that some of the Syrians are Christian; the point is that some of our Christians are pharisees.
