Which Primary

I'm stuck with my usual political dilemna today. Which primary should I vote in? I live in an area with open primaries. I can choose when I show up at the polls whether to vote in the Democratic Party primary or the Republican Party primary. Why would I consider the Republican primary? Because every national, state, and local race that I will vote in this November will be won by a Republican. That's virutally guaranteed. To clarify, the Presidency will probably be won by a Democrat, but the delegates from my state will all be Republican. So if I don't vote in the Republican primary, I effectively have no vote at all.

To be honest, it isn't only Republicans that win. I am friends with one local official that is unquestionably a Democrat, but she runs for office as a Republican because that's the only way to win.

So today I'll have to make my decision. Vote in the Democratic primary on principal or vote in the Republican primary so that I can at least vote for more reasonable Republicans over the rabid ones.
