http://usuncut.com/politics/this-twitter-user-calling-out-nra-congressional-thoughts-and-prayers/One Twitter user is calling out the hypocrisy of our congressional members in a brilliant way by responding to their thoughts and prayers tweets and detailing exactly how much money they have received from the NRA.
Igor Volsky, the Director of Video and a contributing editor at Think Progress, has been tweeting back at public figures all day and taking them to task, exhaustively picking them apart one by one through dozens of tweets. Volsky also noted those who leaned heavily on their record of being pro-gun, responding directly to their empty attempts at sympathy.
He has also taken a more wide view of the situation, summing up the massive bribes and lobbying efforts that have utterly stopped any discussion of gun legislation:
Volskys tweets went viral immediately, as people are sick and tired of the hypocrisy that is paraded by conservative lawmakers after each of these mass shooting events. In order to ensure these events are not a daily occurrence, we must be able to have an honest conversation about gun control and its role in these tragedies.

praying for their jobs and for their cursed black hearts and souls.
Perfect response to those empty excuses for prayers offered by RW pols owned by the gun industry.

(32,723 posts)10. I heard a Republican representing that district on NPR today....
He was using the "...our thoughts should be with the families and rebuilding the community but people with an agenda are trying to exploit this so now is not the time to talk about gun control..." all occasion generic talking points.

the English language is "I will pray for you/them/whatever."
Translated it means "I will do absolutely nothing meaningful that might actually help."
