(24,692 posts)4. Trump is polling around 30% among republicans. 68% of those would be about 20% of all repubs.
That would be pleasantly painful to the GOP but amount to less than 10% of general election voters. I doubt he would do as well as other third party candidates have done in the past.

If he only gets 5% in the end, that will be enough to cost the GOP.
