San Antonio cop suspended for 'want to kill people and not go to jail?... I love my job' FB post

http://www.sfgate.com/news/local/article/SAPD-Officer-suspended-for-a-month-over-social-6686114.php

A San Antonio Police Department officer was suspended for 30 days without pay for a social media post, according to records obtained by mySA.com.

Officer Daryl A. Carle received the punishment after SAPD found a Facebook post on Carle's profile in August, suspension documents show.

“I love my job!!! They said you want kill people and not go to jail?? I said “F--- ya, Who don’t?... They said you afraid of the jungle?? I said “I ain’t scared of sh--... I’ve been wanting go jungle since watched that Predator movie…I love my job!!!!!! Lol," the post said, records show....

“Regardless, to put that up, to post that doesn’t make a lot of sense,” McManus said. “It certainly doesn’t make your job any easier. If people read that, it doesn’t garner any respect for the department, to read that coming from one of our officers.”

He left for about nine months, but civilian work wasn't for him, so he got re-hired.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of the corruption and racism in SAPD that one finds in other large PDs.

Officer Carle's status probably says more about the SAPOA than about Chief McManus.
