https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/12/08/donald-trump-says-he-is-not-bothered-by-comparisons-to-hitler/The comparison between Donald Trump and Hitler is being made more and more frequently -- including on the cover of Tuesday's Philadelphia Daily News -- but the Republican front-runner said Tuesday that the comparison doesn't bother him.
"You're increasingly being compared to Hitler," ABC News' George Stephanopoulos said during an interview with Trump on "Good Morning America" Tuesday. "Does that give you any pause at all?"
"No," Trump responded, "because what I am doing is no different than what FDR -- FDR's solution for Germans, Italians, Japanese, you know, many years ago."
Stephanopoulos jumped in as Trump kept talking: "So you're for internment camps?"

OK, so we'll keep comparing you to Hitler until enough people believe us and you lose the primaries.

(89 posts)He is honored to be compared with Hitler. Hitler's speeches are a source of inspiration for him.

(41,835 posts)That Trump had a book of Hitler's quotes given to him by a friend. I am sure it inspired him.
Still, I can't help thinking of this...

According to a 1990 Vanity Fair interview, Ivana Trump once told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that her husband, real-estate mogul Donald Trump, now a leading Republican presidential candidate, kept a book of Hitler's speeches near his bed.
"Last April, perhaps in a surge of Czech nationalism, Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler's collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed ... Hitler's speeches, from his earliest days up through the Phony War of 1939, reveal his extraordinary ability as a master propagandist," Marie Brenner wrote ...
Trump .. recalled, "Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of 'Mein Kampf,' and he's a Jew."
Brenner added that Davis did acknowledge that he gave Trump a book about Hitler ... "I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I'm not Jewish."

(33,688 posts)(so to speak - this graphic is funnier, IMO). And there are plenty of Hitler admirers in this country who will see this as part of his "charm."
