Jon Stewart will be on Colbert tonight

In about 20 mins. He was on The Daily Show last night with a piece about the 9/11 first responders health issue, which he's been advocating for - and that piece probably took a little while to put together - but tonight (as I understand) it's about Trump.

I miss Jon. Fortunately, I think he misses the platform where he can speak and be heard. I was wishing he'd be here through to the election, but maybe he might be in these surprise cameos.

(and I'm sure Jon's very aware of it) is that he shows up Trevor Noah. This was obvious when I watched him from the other night - Jon comes out and I just felt (1) Damn, I miss watching Jon every night for his nearly perfect accuracy at assessing the current news and delivering it well, and (2) Trevor is just out of his league by comparison (I know he's learning).

However, it's also clear Jon still wants to speak up and needs a place to do so, and we should go for it. I'd be thrilled if he went back full-time to TDS, but I understand he's burnt and wants to move on and try other avenues.

Trump impression was pretty weak to me. To me, he excels in his
political sarcasm - his comedy was always boring to me.

I understand, he wanted to live out his dreams in life, but, he sure did
leave at the worst possible time. For someone who loves making fun
of politicians - this is the ultimate of ultimate times to do it.

The DS was the funniest when they did their offsite bits making fun of people. Guess I am a bad person - because just read an article on Steve Carrell - who said they made a conscious decision to stop those - for moral reasons.

I mean, it probably took two years to make the arrangements, find a replacement, scheduling, etc. Obama was in office and he probably didn't think this campaign would be as ridiculous as it ended up being.

Yeah, the one making fun of people I was always uncomfortable with. Granted some were very deserving, but just some of the interviews with, say, a local official or a well-meaning (if misdirected) person didn't always seem fair. I also didn't like it for stylistic reasons, but that's just me and television production.
