http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3046075/Celebrated-hunter-crushed-death-baby-elephant-tried-measure-ivory-U-S-client.htmlA celebrated Texas-born hunter was crushed to death by a baby elephant in Zimbabwe as he tried to measure its ivory tusks for an American client.
Ian Gibson, 55, was a lauded figure among U.S. safari enthusiasts, who would commission him to slaughter prized animals near his home in South Africa.
On Wednesday, he was tentatively approaching the young bull elephant in Zimbabwe's Zambezi Valley when the animal charged, and knelt on Gibson until he died.

That thbe guy was human being and so on
Just barley, and it was purely biological and nothing more.
Obviously the elephant knew what he was about. They know far more than most credit them.
Karma.

An old man went to a funeral. The preacher asked him "sir how old are you?" The old man responded "I am 87 years old." The preacher then said "there's no need of you going home."

(303 posts)the reactionary, dominator alpha-male culture is killing the planet and all other forms of life for its own shallow utility; all without a hint of scruples or empathy of those affected.
to see these dominators eat it when they finally reap the negative karma they willfully sowed should not evoke sympathy, but celebration; always curb your empathy when dealing with a sociopath.

Just kind of wondering what sort of elephant lets someone measure its tusks. I'm guessing this is a canned hunt of semi tame animals. Disgusting.

(10,952 posts)He made his living slaughtering innocent animals all in the name of the all might dollar. He was part of the problem of the human race driving more and more species into extinction. Karma came a calling.
They only thing that would have made it better would have been if the Amereican who was paying for the guy to slaughter him a trouphy wasn't taken out by the elephant as well.
When it comes to big game trophy hunting my sympathy will always be on the side of the animals.

Anyone know the age when tusks erupt?
Anyway, Ian Gibson's head will look great stuffed and mounted on an elephant's wall.
