They'll never admit to the failures, of course.

Conservative commentators are running out of time for all of their dire prophecies about President Obama to come true, including fears about the looming imposition of martial law, establishment of Obama’s private army and the assassination of conservative leaders. Right-wing pundits also seemed to have missed with their prophecies about financial collapse, natural disasters and widespread unrest coming in 2015.

Whenever he'd run across as spectacular a FAIL as these, he'd say "I'm gonna give that one a BONK."

After that, they always, and I do mean ALWAYS, batted zero.

8 years ago it was Obama's 10 point plan to take away grand pa's shotgun. 4 years ago they doubled down on it.

To make this time seem abnormal. It does not matter how flawed or completely wrong they are. It is all about creating a sense that something is wrong, that something feels wrong and uncomfortable. It cannot let up for even a moment because people might start to notice that things are in fact fairly normal and improving.
