Michigan Residents, here is an editorial you should read and heed

"We wrote in November that a bill to strip Michigan voters of the ability to vote straight ticket was beneath the dignity of the Legislature. In hindsight, we over-estimated the Legislature.
The Republicans in control of that once august body seem to draw from a bottomless well of contempt for the democratic process and the people they are supposed to serve."
As of this posting the governor has not signed this bill into law. If he remains true to form, he will sign it. On the other hand if he gets enough pressure from citizens, he may do what's right.

"USE YOUR VOICE

Call Gov. Rick Snyder at 517-335-7858, or send him a message at http://bcene.ws/govsnyder"
I just called the office and talked to a polite young man named Jason. Asked him if he would tell the governor to veto senate bill 13. He politely told me he would pass this on to the governor and thanked me for calling.

Stripped voters of the ability to vote straight ticket, instituted Voter ID, cut early voting days in half, and decreed that anyone waiting in line when polls close could not vote.

Republicans do NOT want everyone voting because when everyone votes, Dems win.
