Just a quick non-logged in sweep before work, and I see this post about Dr. Tiller. I must log in and I must comment.

I am a mid-fifties male who never needed Dr. Tiller's LIFESAVING services, but I know of the services and support he rendered to women that were usually in such dire need that only a doctor of such caliber as Dr. Tiller could save their lives.

Dr. Tiller was NOT an abortionist or a baby killer or a of the other foul, dishonest monikers placed upon him by the hypocritical "pro-life" right. Dr. Tiller was a respected, trusted and competent medical doctor that specialized in performing ultra-risky, late term pregnancy terminations THAT WERE ALWAYS DEEMED NECESSARY TO SAVE THE MOTHER'S LIFE. Always. Contrary to the blatant lies of the scum-sucking liars on Pox News, late term abortions are only performed when there is an absolute need, when the mother's health and/or life is in jeopardy. And only a handful of doctors have the necessary training and skill to perform these procedures, of which Dr. Tiller was one.

Dr. Tiller WAS one. As we all know, Dr. Tiller was MURDERED IN COLD FUCKING BLOOD while acting as usher in his place of worship one fine Sunday morning, gunned down by a gun-totting, religious fanatic psychopath who was punch-drunk with religious right blood lust, courtesy of Pox News and Bill "go fuck yourself" o'rielly.

Rest in peace, Dr. Tiller. Thank you for your courage and your service to humanity. Yes, humanity.

She had complications during her pregnancy that indicated a possible late - term abortion. Her OB brought Tiller in for a consultation and she said Tiller was very compassionate and supportive when she told him she didn't want to terminate.

It was very sad then. I was devastated when I heard of his murder, at his church, no less.

RIP, Dr. Tiller. He was a very brave person. Need I say, a hero?

Just as they have with dozens of other "unaffiliated" activists in the past that decided to use bullets and bombs in their "protests" -- While the organization gets to keep its hands clean, whitewash the links and deny all connections...

It's no coincidence that OR gave their official endorsement to Ron Paul, as well...

TRUST WOMEN, to know their own bodies and to make the best judgements regarding their reproductive health and freedom.

TRUST WOMEN, is a concept the AmeriKan Taliban cannot comprehend.

I love that the Norwegians recognize that their mass murderer is a terrorist. A terrorist is someone who uses extreme, murderous tactics in order to control whole populations with fear. This is exactly what anti-abortion advocates, who haven't condemned Tiller's murder, are doing. They're using extreme, murderous bully tactics to "persuade" people.

George Tiller and his staff are heroes for all Americans, men and women.

(please don't read this as an insutl) He should have been a completely unremarkable man - in the same way that any decent person who goes out an does a decent job every day is unremarkable. He should be as anonymous as any other doctor in the US. Unfortunately, he was not, due to fundamentalist terrorism that is alive and well in the US.
