I would vote for any Democrat nominated even if it were a dog. My fear is that the Democrats will find a way to mess this election up. The other side if so bad no matter who they put up that Democrats should win hands down. At times what Democrats do almost seem like a Laurel and Hardy plumbing skit where replacing a washer turns into a disaster.
A GOPPER in the White House would be national suicide and we all know that. They are openly running on destroying and abolishing everything that keeps this country together.
The biggest worry right now is that the GOP has the stage and their message out there. I do not hear enough of the Democratic message.

(3,111 posts)No matter what you think about Bernie and his supporters or O'Malley and his supporters, you've got to admit they are passionate about their candidate and that there are substantial numbers of them out there. (Well, some of you don't think there are substantial numbers of them out there, but I just find it hard to take that point of view seriously. And it will be confirmed when they vote in a short while, and Sanders in particular will either win or win some states or come close.)
Meanwhile, the DNC, under the dictatorial and egocentric leadership of Debbie Wasserman Schultz has done nothing to undo the ongoing perception of unfairness to the nomination process that has come about from the way they scheduled the debates and the fact there are so few of them and the fact they have a penalty clause if debates occur out of DNC sanctioned times.
Many people have vowed not to vote for Hillary if she is the nominee. Is this any way to run a nomination process? No. Is there a good reason to not come to a better agreement with the other candidates? No good reason. Possibly a fear that more exposure through publicly watched debates will even the name recognition and the playing field. Particularly with Hillary doing well in debates anyway, why not remove this perception (to the majority of outside observers as well as those who are personally involved) of bias and unfairness.
Finally, as to the lack of exposure to the Democratic candidates and ideas, that is also largely a result of there being less debates, and this has been reported in news source after news source.
So, a seemingly corrupt process that seems biased to ensure the nomination of one particularly candidate, whether or not they actually are the best tactical choice or the true choice of an informed electorate. An inflexible governing structure that refuses to admit possible mistakes and make an adjustment that can only be for the good of the party. A disengagement with and a frequent dissing of perhaps the most Progressive parts of the party, that feel so disenfranchised and pissed off they may not volunteer, donate to, or vote for at least one of the potential nominees.
I feel quite sure that the moment we have been waiting for, if it ever comes, that the people have sincerely had enough of the Reagonomic model of government and are willing to change is now, and that Bernie Sanders clearly represents our best hope for this kind of change.
I feel equally sure that the forces behind Hillary Clinton have got their screws so deep into the process that getting this to come to pass is an extremely challenging task, requiring every effort we can make. And it seems that the Democratic Party, in tripping over themselves to get this one individual elected and to repeat potentially their commitment to a mythical center that doesn't particularly exist and that they themselves cause to drift further rightward, yes, it is very possibly they will "screw this up".
Those of us who believe there is a better alternative better double and redouble our efforts, on all fronts, in any way we can. For high principles truly can do anything, as long as they are adhered to and championed. They don't do anything without a little elbow grease, or even a lot.
