9. I was only 4 years old at the time...

...and my parents were both native Californians. My mother was 2nd generation, and my father was about 4th generation. Mom still loves to tell the story that she said if Reagan got elected governor, she was going to leave the state. We moved to New York in April '67. (that wasn't really why we moved, but she likes to tell it that way!)

When I saw his ugly face I almost spit up a bit. I remember how I felt when we all had to watch that incompetent & foolish POS ruin our economy.

Nonetheless, as difficult as it is to admit, he would be a real treasure compared to the clowns running today. They are far worse. Reagan set the "Christian Right" on fire, and they have morphed into the Tea Party.

It will be interesting to watch, but I would far more interested if there were no risk of having these assholes running the country.
