Disgusting. Fucked up. Maddening. Law enforcement is coddling the terrorists

And no, I don't expect them to let the public in on their plans, but they're letting these fucks run the show and it's a circus.

The leader of a group of militants occupying the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge headquarters said Monday he's confident that federal authorities won't try to force him and the others out.

Ammon Bundy said someone in law enforcement has been communicating with him through back channels — relaying messages to someone close to Bundy.

"They intend not to come up on us," Bundy said. Still, he said, the 20 or so militants would remain ready to defend themselves.

Bundy spoke at the second press conference in as many days since the group occupied a small collection of federal buildings about 30 miles south of Burns. For this one, media from all over the world descended on the remote outpost, broadcasting live updates and clamoring for interviews with the militants.

Media outnumbered militants at press conference. Half a dozen satellite trucks from news networks such as CNN and CBS crowded the small snowy parking lot outside the compound.

Bundy said the group will begin breaking up the refuge land and returning portions of it to local ranchers. He didn't describe how he will achieve that goal, but said it will unwind a century of wrongdoing by the federal government.

"They are insignificant selfish blowhards filled with delusions of grandeur. They deserve scorn and mockery way more than fear."

I agree with that, but I don't find them cuddly or amusing. It will all be a hoot until one of these yahoos kills somebody. All it will take is one of these nuts to decide he wants to go out in a blaze of glory.

And despite the local sheriff saying otherwise, my guess is that local and maybe stste forces are full of militia sympathizers.

I'm kind of laughing at portrayals of the local community as innocents here. Many are like sympathizers and some are likely collaborators.
