One Million Moms issues fatwa against JC Penney

from HuffPost:

It was just a matter of time and here it is. One Million Moms is all up in arms over the adorable JCPenney ad for Father's Day featuring two handsome dads and their super cute kids. From their site:

One Million Moms (OMM) is disturbed that JCPenney's (JCP) is continuing down the same path of promoting sin in their advertisements.

Our persistence will pay off! One day we will answer for our actions or lack of them. We must remain diligent and stand up for Biblical values and truth. Scripture says multiple times that homosexuality is wrong, and God will not tolerate this sinful nature.

They recommend that members write "REFUSED... RETURN TO SENDER" on their June JCPenney book when it arrives. They also recommend calling, emailing, visiting to complain to a manager, and cancelling your JCPenney credit card account. .............(more)

I wouldn't wear their clothes even if our local store started carrying sizes smaller than 18. Flimsy fabric, crooked seams, utter crap.

Still, due to these ads, I may have to get something from there. I need a couple things for the house, I may see if I can find them there.

"Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results."

This is the third "fatwa" these loonies have had on JCP. First was hiring Ellen DeGeneres. They had another when Penney's featured an ad with two lesbians last month. Neither of those worked. Nor, will this one.

Maybe I'll even sign up for a credit card. Haven't had one from them in years, but I do like their quality. And I can do it without trekking to the mall and dealing with horrendous traffic and parking out in pink twinkie land.
