For those keeping score at home, here are just some of the issues that President Obama raised during Tuesday’s State of the Union address that Republican Senators and Congressmen in attendance refused to clap for, let alone get off their asses and cheer:

Nearly 15 million new jobs and the unemployment rate being cut in half.
Equality for all Americans.
Cutting pollution levels.
A good education for our children.
Fighting terrorism.
The idea that America is the strongest nation on earth.
Avoiding war.
Making it easier to vote.

And—drumroll, please—saving the best for last …

Curing cancer!

The perfect response to the non-clapping he should have done in the speech:

“We have created 15 million new jobs without you”

“We have cut the deficit without you”

“Unemployment is low without you”

“We have done all this good stuff without you”

“America works best without you”

The most harmful organization on the planet is the republican congress. The US should take the lead on climate change, but we have infants in Congress who deny science & are more concerned with a woman's uterus. If we maintain the status quo, we are truly fucked.

10. Way back during the Clinton terms, I would count the times the audience would stand up and applause

then I learned copies of the speech had been distributed in advance and the congressional leaders determined when congress people would stand or not.
