... stated that the Spanish translation of the repub rebuttal included remarks about immigration reform obviously designed to pander to Hispanic voters. These remarks were omitted in Haley's English version. They did this last year as well - and it barely got any media attention then.
1. Why the HELL is this not blowing up here on DU!?
2. If I missed a thread about it in my half-assed search, please disregard no. 1 above; and
3. What does this say about the establishment republican party brain trust and it's leaders? (Not just a particular republican, but Rinsed Penis and the other party leaders themselves!)????
Do they think democrats are too stupid not the figure out they did this? Are they not concerned that Hispanic voters might be turned away from them because of what this obviously means about the majority in the party? Are they not even more concerned that the republican base will hear about this and start run on pitchforks and trump yard signs?
Worse - have we really drifted past the point where such a ridiculous and offensive, low brow, insulting tactic is not a big freakin' deal? I'm stunned.

(4,461 posts)... zero traction. I think it speaks volumes about the rock and hard place they've put themselves in. ALL voters - democrats, independents AND republicans - should think this stinks as it reveals that they are simultaneously pandering AND betraying their own base.
Oh well. I guess there are shinier things being dangled these days.
