Zing!

"I have a police department that arrests felons. He has a practice of hiring them."

- Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Tom Barrett (D), quoted by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, bringing up an ongoing secret investigation of Gov. Scott Walker's (R) aides in last night's debate.

It's really time to start calling things as they are for a change.

The Repubs long ago stopped playing nice. Time to fight back.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Democratic Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said in Thursday's debate with Gov. Scott Walker that during his years in public service, no one on his staff has ever been charged with a crime.

But in November 2010, Barrett's office receptionist Joseph N. Cantu pleaded guilty to two counts of battery and one count of disorderly conduct related to a fight with his ex-girlfriend.

Cantu was placed on unpaid leave in May 2010 after he was charged. He earned about $15,000 a year in the job and was 23-years-old at the time.

Walker's campaign spokeswoman Ciara Matthews is accusing Barrett of lying during the debate and says he owes people an apology.

why do Dems always do this to themselves???

but I think Mayor Barrett was referring to crimes committed
in the act of performing their job.

Which is what Gov. Walker's staff (while in Milwaukee) is being indicted on;
crimes committed while performing their job.

Big difference.

And of course, Mayor Barrett does not have a defense fund!!!
