But in 1968, he was a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. He even got votes and everything.
So here's my question: how could our country's priorities been so screwed up back in 1968, that we would allow such a blatent, inexcusable threat to our National Security as to permit a foreign-born national to run for the highest office in the land? Thank the great good Lord we are so much more sophisticated now.

(17,216 posts)The fact also appears on the Birth Certificate Mitt showed, which gives the place of birth of his father. Somebody posted that birth certificate here on DU.
