The MIC is branching out

The Energy Trust of Oregon has awarded Lockheed Martin Energy a contract valued at $23 million for their Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program. Under the contract, Lockheed Martin Energy will provide program implementation of multifamily property energy efficiency projects within ETO jurisdiction. ETO is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to providing utility customers with low-cost, clean energy solutions. Working with ETO, LM will develop and incentivize energy projects with participating customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural and Cascade Natural Gas.

Lockheed Martin is getting into the energy efficiency business. "Following the money" it would seem that this may be a bad sign of some sort.
