8. If, in an alternate universe, the Obama family were as totally dysfunctional

as the Palin family, how would the GOP treat the situation?

Imagine a scenario wherein Michelle Obama were elected President because Barack Obama could not hold a real job.

Imagine a scenario wherein the Obama daughters became pregnant while unmarried.

Imagine the Obama family having drunken gatherings at the White House.

Imagine if Barack Obama were meeting with black separatists and talking about secession.

What would the GOP politicians and pundits say about dysfunctional black families and unfit parents?

What if the Obama girls acted like the Bush twins? I think part of the Right's frustration with the Obama administration is the lack of personal dramas in the family, and they're reduced to clutching at straws trying to drum up a controversy to keep their base revved up and angry.

I predict that by 2022, there will be misty nostalgia on the Right for the Obama family, the same way they try to appropriate the legacy of Kennedy and King to bolster their demented policies.

Obama family has shown us what a family in the WH should act like. Caring, respectable, etc. We may not all agree on the policies but we can certainly agree on the beauty of this family.

Intelligence, social poise, and class do count. And there the Obamas cannot be beat. They are a terrific family.

Really a great family.

Palin family...ugh.

And remember the Bush twins when they were underage and repeatedly getting away from security...another ugh.
