I AM NOT BOING TO SPEND A CENT AT JIMMY JOHNS. Owner Killing African Animals For Sport.

Just saw a despicable pictureS of the owner of Jimmie Johns with dead elephants & rhinos. Recently killed last black rhino in a national park that was pregnant. It was on my wife Facebook feed.

IT IS SO F&^*ING DISGUSTING.

I believe those people are dangerous. They take life just to say they did it.

and there was almost no flavor to the meat at all. So that alone is going to keep me from going there.

They also have a policy of hiring only part timers so as not to have to pay any benefits.

years ago, after finding out how badly they treated their workers and their horrendous employee policies. Such as forcing people to come to work sick or they'd lose their jobs. First, any employer who does that is automatically off of my list of businesses to patronize. Second, it's doubly worse if it's a restaurant/food establishment, because they're showing that they not only don't give a shit about their health of their employees, if they require employees to handle food when they're sick, then they obviously don't give a shit about the health of their customers either. They put the almighty dollar before anything else and I won't support that.

I've seen "hippies use backdoor" signs through the window in a couple of their restaurants. No business that displays that sign will ever get any of this hippie's money.

They make their employees sign a non-compete clause so if they quit or get fired they can't work at another fucking sandwich shop for a set period of time. They are also aggressively anti-union.

It's probably easier to compile a list of fast food restaurants that treat their employees decently, than keep track of all the ones that don't.

That wouldn't be a differentiator at all. As I think you're pointing out, they're both issues, but some people seem to prioritize the animals over the people.

Although I don't like factory farming (which again is not a differentiator), the issue is different with trophy hunting. So someone who can look past the factory farming to go to any of these places at all, might not be able to look past the owner's contribution to the obscenity that is trophy hunting.

Your comparison of the factory farming vs. the way workers are treated is apt. Both apply widely to the type of business. Although if there is a list somewhere that grades these places on how they treat workers, I'd love to know about it. I'd bookmark it and try to keep it in mind when faced with the need to patronize one of these places. (which I try to avoid but cannot always.)

If they didn't deliver almost everywhere, those businesses would die off and the CEOs wouldn't have the wealth to pay 200k to kill and stuff exotic animals.

Really cheaply made sandwiches. I still have nightmare flash backs of their roast beef sandwich that consisted of mostly lettuce (dry stale and old too) that was shoved into a hot dog bun with a tiny tiny bit of one very thinly sliced piece of something that looked like roast beef lunch meet. It was horrid! worst sandwich I have ever eaten. Never again will I eat there.
