Dude should get inside where it's warm. Like having some poor fool standing out in the snow is going to help security. This isn't even symbolically virtuous. (Standing sentry by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at least has the virtue of symbolism)

Standing still for too long in that wet snow makes your feet cold, no matter what you're wearing.

It's snowing like crazy in my part of NJ (across the Hudson from Manhattan). It's snowing more than a few hours ago. Oh well, no big deal. I'm home nice and cozy, baking brownies.

but if the core of his body is warm his feet probably are too. I have Reynard's so my feet are cold all the time but if I keep the rest of my body well covered I don't notice my feet so much

I don't know how long he's supposed to stand there, but I hope that in this kind of weather they rotate them frequently.
