(7,394 posts)was Shaq's telling the kids how much money he made,
otherwise, yeah, it's nice that he and the cops showed up to play with them.

(17,863 posts)That these kids will normally get in trouble. I am not sure I would see the same presumption with a bunch of kids shooting hoops in my neighborhood (an upper middle class primarily white community). It feels a little condescending.
That being said I still think that Shaq is showing a lot of heart and is trying to help our communities. He didn't have to do that. I very much enjoy the police force's encounters with these children.

(21,885 posts)I wonder who the neighbor was that initially called the police because the kids were making too much noise. LOL. They must've loved this. I guess we can actually thank them for initiating this entire encounter.

(1,967 posts)when they heard more basketball noise and when they looked outside it was the police playing with the kids. Who do they complain to now?

(11,065 posts)What an absolute thrill for those kids! I saw a far shorter clip at TMZ, but this one is infinitely better. Thanks for posting!
My hat's off to Shaq for doing this for the kids and being a great mentor as well. They'll be telling their grandkids about this moment and never forget it the rest of their lives. Their reaction realizing who the "big guy" was stepping out of the car was just priceless. I had to watch it a couple of times just for that part.
