As spring arises my concern is that other militias might want to come in and reinforce and expand the occupation. MY sense is that the resistance is growing in some ways.
I would sure like to know what the federal authorities are getting intelligence wise. What are other even more militant militias up to?
The federal government simply cannot give in to any of their demands for a multitude of reasons. One really big reason is that the occupiers are saying ALL federal land including our national parks should be privatized.

(25,966 posts)Negotiation usually implies that both parties are willing to concede something. The problem is, what the Bundy gang wants is our land. That, and they want convicted arsonists to be set free. There is nothing they want that I would consider it acceptable to "negotiate" with.
Furthermore, these guys are not in any way willing to compromise. And they're prepared to back that up with their guns.
So, nothing about this situation actually fits the definition of "negotiation."

(6,073 posts)Maybe President Obama is planning a secret strategy like OBL's demise or Iran prisoner release. I'm just not too confident because of the extremists he is dealing with.

Someone wants an internal conflict. And they apparently hold some considerable sway.

(4,517 posts)that they already SHOULD have done weeks ago. These nutjobs want a wall? Give 'em a wall. Around the compound, with no gate. Nothing in or out.
