The GOP Just Really Wants To Stop The Checks For Social Security/Medicare Forthwith.

Seniors need to really listen to what the GOP candidates support. If they had their way they would stop Social Security and Medicare in a heartbeat. Their idea of reform is to just stop everything. There is so much code about entitlement reform it is not even funny.

If seniors who support the GOP would just understand that, the GOP would lose. Period.

Yammering about ending SS and Medicare for years but I never hear them say they would stop taking the payroll deductions for these programs.

It is also bizzaro world how in the republican world SS/Medicare are framed as "entitlements" which is basically code for "handouts" yet people pay into both programs with every pay check.

When I retire and start to draw income from my 401k is that also a "handout" in the eyes of republicans...

We paid for it. It was a promise made by this country to its citizens.
