I almost feel sorry for Michael Steele (on UP with Chris Hayes this morning)

Right now they've got Mann and Ornstein on but all morning they've been going after the dirty pub tactics like voter suppression and the 'both sides do it' bullshit. Any other person from his side of the aisle less impervious to facts and reason would have been reduced to tears by now.

His heart really isn't in it.

I wouldn't be surprised in the next few years to see him pull a big switcheroo, come out of the closet and admit he's had an epiphany and actually is a Democrat.

And I agree, he sounds like his heart isn't in it and he doesn't believe what he is saying.

That he is nothing more then a token for the Republicans, and he's finally realizing it!

4. Hayes needed to shut up

Finally, we get to here Mann and Ornstein and all we get is motor mouthing Hayes long-winded statement questions and interruptions. I wanted to.hear more about what these guys concluded. This.should not.have been a panel discussion, but a 1-on-1 interview. Thumbs up for them having them on UP. Thumbs down to Hayes for blowing this exclusive. More time needed for both guys....less time for Hayes to promote his book.

6. Good point but at least (I think) he said they'd be back on soon.

For those keeping score at home, that will mean:
UP - 2 appearances
ALL OTHER SUNDAY MORNING SHOWS - 0 appearances

7. well, I was surprised to see them on Morning Joe a week or so ago!

Joe was probably forced to have them on. He also had Krugman on. My guess is that he heard from his non-repuke viewers that he was getting to be another Fox "news" shows and they threatened to jump ship on the show...

Chris has a way of synopsizing issues and keeping the viewer informed in a most intelligent manner. Even his guests nod in agreement with his comments. They respect his perspective and his intelligence.

8. As I see it, there is an antidote to the "both sides do it" equivocation

Regardless of what individual actors in either party may do, the philosophies of the two parties are worlds apart. Whereas the Republican Party is committed to a patriarchal, and hierarchical world-view, the Democratic Party is committed to a society where all have a voice and a place at the table.

Obviously you can expand on this theme but that is the core difference that needs to be highlighted to voters.
