Mitt Romneys senior campaign adviser, Eric Fehrnstrom, on Sunday said that social issues important to women, like contraception coverage and abortion rights, were shiny objects that were being used to distract voters.
David Plouffe, one of President Barack Obamas top aides, last week told New York Magazine that Democrats needed to be clear about what a Romney presidency would mean for womens rights and other social issues.
Potentially abortion will be criminalized, Plouffe said.Women will be denied contraceptive services. Hes far right on immigration. He supports efforts to amend the Constitution to ban gay marriage.

Fehrnstrom has a real "tin ear" when it comes to putting the
best face on Mitt's campaign.
That is not how to answer that question or the statement.
Campaign talk 101:
Question So how does your candidate feel about women's health issues?
Answer Mr. or Ms. X is a strong supporter of a women's right to
do what she wants to do however he/she also knows that a growing
economy is a big help to all women and as President that will be job
# 1. (and from there jabber on and on about the economy and change
the subject from what is a sure losing point for the majority of women
and talk about nothing for @ least 90 seconds after which you get the
hell out of there)

Talk about insensitive! I'd hate to see what he feels about prison reform or urban crime! Are those issues "shiny objects" too, Mitt?
And the President is not the one bringing up the issues! It's the rethugs who wanna ban everything to make the crazy voters happy!
Mitt can't control the rethugs. They've lost their mind and this guy is case study #3 as to why.
