Wisconsin - "second most important election this year".

That is what George Will called it on the ABC news program, This Week.

Wisconsin is a deeply divided state.

It is divided between money and people.

Some spokesman for Governor Walker seemed very confident that Walker would win.

Another supporter of Mayor Barrett seemed very confident that Barrett would win.

If it was a sporting event, it would be fun. It would be like me rooting for the Kentucky Wildcats to win the national championship. But, it's not a sporting event. It is about people's lives.

No doubt, it is an important election. It will be better for the nation if the Democrat wins. If the Republican, Walker, wins, then this will spread to other states and the battle for worker rights and other constitutional rights will only expand the battle we are now seeing in Wisconsin. For the nation's sake, and all of us, let us hope that Walker is defeated in overwhelming fashion.

BTW, If "this" means disputes between the electorate and ALEC-member legislators, that is going to expand anyway. Wisconsin's recall isn't going to stop the corporatists from trying to control state legislatures and governorships in other states.
