Tucker carlson whines about the Sports illustrated Swimsuit Issue...

Because they have a plus-size model this year.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson pouts about plus-size models: ‘Keep politics out of my swimsuit issue’

Fox News host Tucker Carlson complained on Sunday that the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue had become too “political” because the 2016 edition includes plus-size models.

The magazine announced over the weekend the Swimsuit edition would feature three different covers with models who have different body types: Ronda Rousey, Ashley Graham, and Hailey Clauson.

Fox News host Sandra Smith noted on Sunday that the magazine had been praised for including different body types, and co-host Clayton Morris pointed to Graham as the “plus size” model.

“Does it really need to be political?” Carlson whined. “You know what I mean? Politics now in the swimsuit issue. That is disgusting.”

Started what 5 years ago - yeah publishing (even online) what a great business idea. Basically it is another voice in the choir and is probably funded by the same dark deep pockets that fund their think tanks and other C-league websites.

but there are a lot of concepts my enfeebled brain is apparently incapable of understanding, like why attractive women in bathing suits are a bad thing to begin with.

Using different types of models to reach alternate demographic groups is called "marketing."

Whining about it on a politics blog and TV commentary shows is....well, politics.

Because that is the nasty downside of the industry.

Modeling is becoming much more open to the plus-size figure, and it's about damn time. Deal with it, Tucker.

Geeze...ALWAYS something to bitch about.

why do people think it is a good thing to objectify women bec. one also makes a political statement?
Like Beyonce, objectifies women while she supposedly salutes the Panthers.
so it is ok to demean women?
I don't think so.
let's be done with objectifying women's bodies.
At the heart of all assaults against women, literal and metaphorical - is objectification of women's bodies.

Im sorry, but humans find each other attractive for numerous reasons, and physical attractiveness is a big one.

There is nothing wrong with women (or men) in bathing suits or people finding each other attractive or being found attractive on the basis of physical characteristics.
