Crazy weather in Mass. 63-degree difference in 36 hours!

During the overnight last night, it got down to -13 (maybe more--this was last I checked; it was also -13 the night before; daytime yesterday was 0.). These temps are Fahrenheit and not including the wind chill factor.

Today it's up to 19.

Tomorrow it's supposed to be 50.

In a 36-period, that's a diffence of 63 degrees!!!!!

Yesterday was totally miserable. Pipes froze. Filters on faucets and the dishwasher clogged up after we managed to get the water flowing again. The furnace and pellet stove were running nonstop and the house was still chilly. Awful. Now it's snowing and will be turning to ice, then rain, but at least we'll be able to feel warm again. Crazy, crazy, crazy.

it was thirteen below zero on Saturday: you had to warm up in the summit lodge before skiing down. The next day, the mercury skyrocketed to 23 degrees -- still well below freezing -- and it felt like summertime!

so tomorrow, when it hits 50 without wind, it's going to feel like an 85 degree difference. Maybe I'll break out the sandals. LOL.
