We've all heard the blustering and the threats. Fine. However, I have seen posts on the DU that stated it's too late to go 3rd Party.
So to all of you who are wiser than I am (which is all of you), IS it too late for Trump to go 3rd Party? I hope not -- I'd sign the supporting petition!!

(15,429 posts)He filed papers to be on the GOP primary ballot in too many states with sore loser laws for him to be capable of winning the presidency.
For example, his name CANNOT appear on the Ohio General Election ballot as anything other than the Republican nominee. The sore loser laws have already kicked in there.
That said, he can still be a major spoiler in a lot of states.

Who would win a four way race?
Hillary, Cruz, Trump, or Bernie Sanders?

(19,089 posts)Then again, imagine if the DNC 'Trumped' a winning Bernie Sanders and DID use super-delegates to overturn his win ....
When the vote was unclear in Florida during Gore/Bush 2000, Gore supporters DEMANDED that Gore fight to the bitter end ... I would imagine many Bernie supporters would demand some sort of action ...
Still, the numbers might be interesting ...

(145,321 posts)Ohio and Michigan have both stated that Trump is covered by their sore loser laws. Trump could sue and maybe strike down these laws but that is not a sure thing.
