For the President to say Clinton was a bad SoS would cause political fall out within the Democratic Party and would also reflect poorly on the President himself, since he was the one who nominated her and was her boss.

I am merely noting that the President really had no alternative to saying that Clinton did a good job as SoS.

IF, repeat IF, the President had come out and said he thought Clinton did a bad job as SoS, it would cause political problems within the party and would have been a negative reflection on him as well.

Of course she will claim that she set up Kerry for success, but seriously-- she made some really bad calls as SOS.

Ukraine - a huge mess
Russia - attempting a new cold war, to what purpose?
Syria - is anything being done to undo that mess, besides critisizing the only people who are working to fix it?
