General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsDo you know who's going to win the general election?
Honestly, I don't have a clue. And frankly, neither does anyone else.
But this is the season of blowing smoke and passing fantasy off as reality. But let's be honest, folks. We. Don't. Know. And sometimes we have to just be satisfied with not knowing at let it go at that.
I support Bernie all the way. If Hillary is the nominee, I will vote for her. But it's just plain wasting time to say "if X then Trump will win," or "if Y then Bernie will win." Just look in the mirror and tell yourself as firmly as you can (wag your finger at yourself if it helps) "I don't know who will win, or under what conditions." It could end up being Biden vs. Bloomberg and some Joe Schmoe from Arkansas wins by a landslide of write-in votes. I don't know. You don't know. And until election day, let's just work as hard as we can for whomever we prefer and leave the rest to the whim of the voters.

(17,135 posts)You're taking a risk here. Your post may be a little too stable for Democratic Underground at this point.

And you want me to be excited that one of these two are going to be our next president?

Wake up and smell the coffee. We have an experienced, knowledgeable insider candidate, who believes in the Democratic Platform (i.e., Bernie's plan-- go ahead and tell me I'm wrong, just keep in mind that presidential politics is a MACRO science. )
Oh, whoops, she's a she. And has 30 years of hate already dumped on her.
Did this have to make democrats insane? Most of what Bernie supporters post here is HillaryHate, not BernieLove. I love me some BernieLove. HillaryHate makes me want to stab myself in the eyes.
Please, democrats, don't add to the pile. You have bought the ancient propaganda. Things are not as you have been taught to believe. I love Bernie, vote for Bernie. I love Hillary, vote for Hillary! stop buying the mind-altering drug of FOX Gospel (i. e., The Clintons are satanic, allow us to go into detail on every newscast repetitively since 1990.It's not just on FOX anymore) and support our candidates, up and DOWN the ticket.
Wake up and smell the coffee. We're debating, not planning a suicide.
