A ride home from a restaurant turned into a nightmare for one Lyft passenger in Washington, D.C.
~ snip ~
Taylor and her friend live five blocks away from one another on the same street, so they requested a Lyft Line ride, which allows multiple passengers to get a ride at a discount. According to Lyfts website, users of Lyft Line enter their destinations before requesting the service and no additional stops can be added after the ride has started.
Taylor told ABC News that the driver, who she said was identified on the app as "Brian," refused to make two stops at two different destinations. Taylor's friend exited the car a few blocks before his apartment.
~ snip ~
Instead, he got back in the car and "made a really violent U-turn" going in the opposite direction of Taylor's home while the backseat passenger door was still open.
~ snip ~
Some people should NOT be in the driver's seat as cab or rideshare drivers. It is a very challenging, disrespected, and underpaid job for even the most patient of people. Anyone with an anger management problem IS going to lose it at some point.

(27,827 posts)1. So did they enter their multiple stops ahead of time
Or not? I am not defending the driver or Lyft, but I honestly can't tell if they put in both stops ahead of time.

(5,169 posts)2. Ya, that is unclear
Regardless, you do not drive with a passenger getting in or out of a car. You do not take them someplace they do not want to go unless it is a police station.
That driver should have been facing kidnapping charges if he refused to drop someone off where they wanted as long as it was safe to do so.

(27,827 posts)3. I completely agree.
I just don't understand why the article left out that key piece of information.

There should be criminal charges.
