In the last few weeks, two or three times a day. Most of the time..ok, but so many requests??
It means one of two things..
1. lots of unnecessary requests
2. more anger and bad judgment in posts.
any ideas?

(5,043 posts)I've been a member since 2004, so through a couple of primaries. I don't remember this much vitriol in '08.

(122 posts)so I have a 40ish% chance of serving. Since I began posting late last year I have served 14 times. I always read the thread to get an idea of the context of the dispute. IMHO I think it is a little of both but I would say many of the 14 I have served on were unnecessary and I usually vote to leave it. I don't mind serving and I always try to be fair but I have to admit some of the things that get alerted on really have me scratching my head.

(10,493 posts)Some of the alerts are just hypersensitive. I think they have the safety turned off on the alert trigger.
Put them on ignore, or debate why you believe your candidate isn't, or post puppies & kitties and call it a day. GDP is safer than some of the mommy debate board out there any day. Have you ever seen thread on returning shopping carts to the corral go down on a parenting site? Yeah, politics for $300 please, Alex.

(12,132 posts)the first three were dismissed by a message stating that too many jurors had been called but thanks for my willingness to participate. The last one was real but got hidden despite my Leave It vote. 3-4 to hide. Oh well, no skin off my nose.

(5,764 posts)...it's primarily bad requests. Getting really fed up with the alert stalking.

(7,492 posts)for a while, then nearly every alert was Bernie vs Hillary in some form, so I opted out. Since I favor one over the other, I thought I couldn't be objective. Gave it a rest, got back in, same old same old. Opted out again.
For the record, whoever wins the primary gets my vote. Going purist in the upcoming election is like peeing your pants while wearing a dark suit, it may give you a warm fuzzy feeling, but nobody notices. If the rw wins this cycle, this country may never recover and is screwed forever.
