General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsHow important is David Axelrod's advice for small-level discourse?
So Mr. Axelrod has opined that attacking Trump on "the issues" is not necessarily advisable, and it's better to go after him for his shady dealings and questionable loyalties.
How important is it for us progressives to spread the word in this way, on social media, in casual discussions, and the like?
Shouldn't we really start planning a grassroots attack where it hurts, as Axelrod suggests? Should we really leave it up to the DNC to handle, or should we not start going for the jugular in any way (small or large) that we can.
I'm hoping this thread will include advice, discussion, and talking points to bring up whenever Trump fans show up on our FB pages, dinner table discussions, and wherever else.

I believe all things trump are important...But no matter what happens-it needs to be the Truth, Factual and stated often.....imo
His policies (and ancestry) on the issues must be drawn out for they Are closely similar to that of a Very Dark period and country far, far away.
For instance-when he comments on health care-he only says "people won't be dying on the sidewalks"-"they'll get care" ...Ok Where will "they" get care? And Where will this care be offered? And for ALL people who Need health care or "just certain people"? etc etc etc. Given the violence at his events and the Attack on Media....just saying.....

Oh, definitely. And the way you phrase it is EXACTLY the way the Democratic nominee needs to!
I'm just thinking overall strategy, and in particular "small group politics" like talking with Trump "on the fence" types online (and yes, asking for their positions on Trump's "stand" on issues like this must be useful!).
