Tea Party Activist, Trump Supporter Jerry DeLemus Arrested
UPDATE: FBI agents took custody of Delemus on 9 charges including conspiracy to commit an offense against the U.S., threatening, obstruction

ROCHESTER, NH - The Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken custody of Jerry DeLemus, a New Hampshire Tea Party activist who previously made trips to Nevada to take part in the Bundy Ranch stand-off and the federal forestry building seizure in Oregon two months ago, according to reports.

DeLemus faces nine federal charges including conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States, threatening a federal law enforcement officer, obstruction of justice, attempting to impede or injure a federal law enforcement officer and several firearms charges, when he was in Nevada to support the Bundy family at the ranch.

According to Jack Kimball, the former chairman of the New Hampshire GOP, state Rep. Susan DeLemus, R-Rochester, Jerry’s wife, called him and said they had taken custody of him today (March 3, 2016).

“She said that the FBI just rolled up with lots of vehicles and Agents who were in tactical gear,” Kimball wrote on Facebook earlier this morning. ”They forced their way into Jerry DeLemus and Sue’s condo with weapons drawn and arrested Jerry and took him away.”

12. FBI arrested another son of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, David Bundy taken into custody today

FBI agents have arrested another son of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy — this time in Utah.

David "Davey" Bundy was arrested just after 7 a.m. Thursday at the site of the house the Millard County contractor is building for his family just south of Delta, his wife told The Salt Lake Tribune.

Marylynn Bundy said she was alerted to the arrest by a worker who was blocked from getting to the house by law enforcement.

"I think they are just trying to get all the Bundy men locked up, so they can raid their homes," Marylynn Bundy said.

The FBI in Utah could not immediately confirm the arrest. However, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Nevada did confirm that

Apparently, they've fixed on the notion that only 3% of the colonists actually took up arms to oppose the British, and they fancy themselves the heirs of those folks. I don't think we're going to be hearing any Nathan Hale level comments from any of them as they're apprehended, tried, convicted, and sentenced to long prison sentences. Especially when they characterize their arrests as "kidnapping."

What we're getting from A.M. radio, tv, and print media is, generally speaking, nothing more than propaganda. Some outlets are obviously worse than others. Some aren't propaganda. Some are pure fantasy. Pure right wing mental masturbation. Which is where these assholes come into the equation.

Do ya think these guys were well read? NYT, WSJ, etc.? If, and that's a biggie, if they read anything it was gun magazines with articles written by NRA lobbyist's. Plus books approved by fox news and the John Birch Society. Think they watched a lot of MTP or FTN? Doubtful. MSNBC? PBS? Fucking CNN? Everyone knows the answer. Just like we know what kinda radio they liked. The "news" sources they used barely covered Bush's power grabs. They were told "The looney left is making hay out of nuthin. Besides it's our guy. A good Christian man. Plus, you know terrorism. Damn dirtyhippycommiefacsisttreehugging librultraitorscum!"

Now granted, these guys are on the furthest extreme. However, the people who don't listen to Alex Jones, et al. but do get their info from the same places we kinda touched on above, end up being a sizeable part of the population giving them moral support and a false legitimacy. It's ugly, it's destructive, and it's dangerous.

End of rant.

Speculation over.

https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/fourteen-additional-defendants-charged-felony-crimes-related-2014-standoff-nevada

A superseding criminal indictment was returned by the grand jury on March 2 and now charges a total of 19 defendants. The 14 new defendants are Melvin D. Bundy, 41, of Round Mountain, Nevada; David H. Bundy, 39, of Delta, Utah; Brian D. Cavalier, 44, of Bunkerville; Blaine Cooper, 36, of Humboldt, Arizona; Gerald A. DeLemus, 61, of Rochester, New Hampshire; Eric J. Parker, 32, of Hailey, Idaho; O. Scott Drexler, 44, of Challis, Idaho; Richard R. Lovelien, 52, of Westville, Oklahoma; Steven A. Stewart, 36, of Hailey; Todd C. Engel, 48, of Boundary County, Idaho; Gregory P. Burleson, 52, of Phoenix; Joseph D. O’Shaughnessy, 43, of Cottonwood, Arizona; and Micah L. McGuire, 31, and Jason D. Woods, 30, both of Chandler, Arizona.

The newly-added defendants are each charged with one count of conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States and conspiracy to impede or injure a federal officer, and at least one count of using and carrying a firearm in relation to a crime of violence, assault on a federal officer, threatening a federal law enforcement officer, obstruction of the due administration of justice, interference with interstate commerce by extortion and interstate travel in aid of extortion. The indictment also alleges five counts of criminal forfeiture which upon conviction would require forfeiture of property derived from the proceeds of the crimes totaling at least $3 million, as well as the firearms and ammunition possessed and used on April 12, 2014.

Twelve defendants were arrested earlier today. Two defendants, Cavalier and Cooper, were already in federal custody in the District of Oregon.

Charges against the original five defendants, Cliven D. Bundy, 69, of Bunkerville; Ryan C. Bundy, 43, of Mesquite, Nevada; Ammon E. Bundy, 40, of Emmet, Idaho; Ryan W. Payne, 32, of Anaconda, Montana; and Peter T. Santilli Jr., 50, of Cincinnati, remain the same.
