They can be very dangerous. They can threaten the lives of the people in their states.
They are driven by a misguided ideology that is out of touch with reality.
They have a false philosophy that prevents them from ever raising any taxes for any purpose. In effect, they do not believe in government. All of present government is too large.
In order to balance their budgets, they are prepared to destroy the public education system. They believe they can cut taxes on the wealthy and bring in more revenues to their state Treasury. This is a fairy tale they learned from the Reagan years and they believe it with all their heart and soul.
They are prepared to let the infrastructure crumble around their ankles. They will cut services everywhere they can in order to keep from raising one red cent more in taxes. They will supply poison water to their citizens, with no thought of the future of our children.
Then, they will make excuses when they run huge deficits and state services must be closed or shut down. This is a dangerous trend for America.
Citizens, beware!

(86,775 posts)Rachel Maddow is that she is like having a political science professor educating the public who have been starved of civics classes for too long. Much of the public has no clue as to how our system of governing works, their role in it and what current events mean so having Rachel spend just a few minutes getting to why an issue is so important while some have a tolerance for such info is well worth the time for those of us who do get it.
Sadly, I suspect she's trapped in a bad contract deal which I think was signed just prior to the ComCast purchase.
Hope Maddow finds a way to break free of the corporate media, she's too valuable an asset as a true journalist to just be squashed any a corporation or silenced by having no outlet for her voice.

But I guess he's better than an R.
Left that spot blank during the last election, just couldn't vote for either one of them.
