Sure, I'm all for protesting Trump and standing up to this bully, but he's a symptom of the disease, not the disease itself.
Trump and about 90% of the current Republican Party is the creation of the unchallenged and un-rebutted 24/7 hatred, bigotry, racism and xenophobia of Hate Radio. It's just been constant hate for the past 30 years.
Heck, if you're even lucky enough to have a local Morning Show on these stations, they are nothing but a reaffirmation of what you hear for the rest of the day.
Fixing this won't be done at the National level. No what this takes is action against the local stations that for too long have provided a platform for hatred and bigotry, with minimal to NO consequences.
Just imagine if a few hundred, or a few thousand protesters were to show up at the offices of the local radio stations that spew nothing but non-stop vitriol directed at their fellow Americans.
- You can drive from the deepest red Tea-bagging county in Washington, into the heart of Progressive Seattle, and hear nothing but wingnut radio.
- Why are The Ohio State University Football Games broadcast on a radio station that give listeners nothing but Rush, Hannity, Savage and Levin for the other 21 hours of the day?
- Even if you happen to have a local Morning Show in your area, the hosts do nothing but regurgitate the spittle you hear all day long, non-stop.
Anyone who has even caught just a few minutes of Hate Radio over the past 3 decades can easily understand where Donald Trump came from. Hes their candidate, hook, line and sinker!
For too long the local radio stations have gotten away with it. After-all, all they are doing is broadcasting what is nationally syndicated to them. That, my friends, is a bunch of Horseshit!
If just 1/3 of the protesters who stood up to Trump in Chicago, would march in front of their local AM Hate Radio Station, we might actually see some things change.
