CNN interjects Trump when it does need to. For example the headline for the most recent townhall for Clinton and Sanders criticize Trump. Neither candidate borught Trump up, they were asked about him. Trump became the focus even though it wasn't his townhall.

It wasn't the townhall meeting, but my impression was the same as yours. Most of their coverage was about either Donald Trump himself or other candidates talking about Trump. They should just change their name to the Trump News Network. "All Trump, all the time."

propagandize as much as possible. It is to present a conservative point of view no matter the reality.

Austria opened its border to Hungary around 1980. Streams of people traveled over that border freely between Austria and Hungary. My husband and I crossed that border to visit family on the Hungarian side. We crossed it pretty often. Little old Austrian ladies with their fancy hats would travel from Vienna to Hungary just to eat Christmas dinner.

But when we returned to the US in 1985 after living for years in Europe, no one here seemed to know that the Iron Curtain was falling, cracking rapidly, more rapidly than the press here reported. And the Budapest/Vienna connection was not the only tear in the Curtain though it was the most obvious one.

When the Republicans took credit for the fall of the Soviet Union, the mass exodus from E. Germany through Hungary into Austria that finally took place in 1988, the depraved dishonesty and ignorance of the American press came home to us.

Reagan got the credit, and American policy certainly played a role. But the real hero was Austrian's clever and crafty, patient and old chancellor, Bruno Kreisky, a survivor of WWII, who used Austria's then role as a neutral country to pry open a crack in that curtain. I bet you have never heard of him.

Our news media is a farce. They wouldn't know the truth when it comes to politics and the geopolitical game if someone threw it in their faces. Especially since the Iraq War, I just assume that most of the mainstream news is just propaganda.

So many stories that actually do constitute history, it's not just the larger narrative.

Bernie created news with his message which goes against corporate media conglomerate self interests so they have done their utmost to hide, blackout, demean or ignore it.

The first time Drumph prattles on and on you can call it news. When he repeats the same drivel over and over it is no longer news, it's a network desperate to create the monster no one seems to be able to turn away from !

Diana Christensen: I watched your 6 o'clock news today; it's straight tabloid. You had a minute and a half of that lady riding a bike naked in Central Park; on the other hand, you had less than a minute of hard national and international news. It was all sex, scandal, brutal crime, sports, children with incurable diseases, and lost puppies. So, I don't think I'll listen to any protestations of high standards of journalism when you're right down on the streets soliciting audiences like the rest of us. Look, all I'm saying is if you're going to hustle, at least do it right.

What's the new saying about 1984; it wasn’t meant to be an instruction manual? I guess we can adapt that to this.

He is obviously not a "politician"

He is a salesman.
He is an unapologetic bullshit artist, flim-flam man, and snake-oil salesman.
He is a shameless self-promoter and media whore.
He is a narcissist who basks in the attention -- even negative attention.
He is all about pretense and appearance -- lacking a genuine self, lacking substance.
He is an obvious believer in the axiom that "there's no such thing as 'bad' publicity".
The media couldn't boycott coverage of Trump even if they wanted to, because he will always
find a way to garner their attention. He has been upping the ante since the primaries began.

All men wanna to be rich,
Rich men wanna be king,
And a king ain't satisfied 'til he rules everything...
