between a proto-fascist candidate and a neo-conservative (neo-liberal economics backed by a muscular and aggressive foreign policy). THAT'S what decades of "lesser of two evils" choices have brought us in this country.

(11,481 posts)the primaries. Myself, I've said all along that Clinton will be the Democratic nominee. And nothing has changed my opinion, so I post this about November.

(11,481 posts)That's what I thought when he entered the race a year ago and that's what I think today. But any revolution, social or political, isn't about giving up. I hope you don't give up even when he officially loses the nomination

(11,481 posts)But that's what the game has always been about. Offer the crappiest candidates and choose the lesser of the two evils. So the candidates get worse and worse on both sides (and they've ALWAYS been pretty bad on the Republican side-Hell I didn't even like the Republicans in the 1960s) and this is what we have in 2016.

(11,481 posts)Some have always said that the lesser of two evils is still evil. But this choice is what we wind up with- Mussolini or Reagan.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
The OP claims this isn't a not-so-cleverly-disguised primary thread and is about the General Election, where the OP posits that Clinton will be the nominee. In the OP he calls Clinton a neo-con and evil, since, by definition, the "lesser" of two evils is still evil. Under GE rules this would be a hide because it's an attack on the nominee. That is the rule. As a GDP OP in GD this warrants a lock or hide because Primary threads do not belong in GD. That is the rule. Especially since in the OP he is calling a Democratic candidate for the nomination a neo-con and evil.
Either way, the OP violates the rules.
Thank you.

Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I don't have a problem with the post at all. My opinion.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: A) we have no nominee; B) not about the primary
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The poster is calling it as he sees it. Hillary has been spoken well of by Kagan and Cheney, the most Neo of Neo-cons. I don't see her disavowing an aggressive foreign policy. Nowhere does the OP call Clinton evil. The alerter is reading a lot into this post. Leave it.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Sometimes the truth hurts I guess
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(11,481 posts)so I wasn't sure how this post would be received, but I honestly didn't think that it would get an alert. Glad to see I was exonerated by the jury system. Also some good comments from the jurors.
Is this the way it is around here? Instead of arguing the point, you alert? That doesn't sound line fun. I like the argument.

(12,228 posts)unless people try and wins for better. In reality the electorate can only get angrier and prey to the Dark Side or primed for even an actual military coup or trumped up impeachment. We have have had all that attempted before and stolen electoral elections at least a few times. Two actually failed impeachment coups balanced with one legitimate impeachment failure(Nixon forced to resign).
The natural regression of this not getting better is a guarantee that power will be maintained by greater dictatorial elitist means and less actual democratic decision power at all. The Dems with even a moderate conservatism could have their "evil twins" across the aisle and built the popular will on democratic principles. In an Open Election season they decided or were browbeaten easily into, nyeh, don't feel like that much effort. Seems like the apathetic lack of choice begins with political incompetence or corruption.
