Pope Francis to visit Greece April 14-15:

ATHENS (Reuters) - Pope Francis will visit Greece on April 14-15 and plans to visit the island of Lesbos which is at the forefront of Europe's refugee crisis, a government official said on Tuesday.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, spiritual leader of the Greek Orthodox Church, would also be present, the official said.

In an effort to highlight the dramatic situation of refugees left in limbo on the Greek island of Lesbos, Pope Francis and other Christian leaders will meet with the migrants April 16.
