2. This race epitomizes everything I despise

about the DNC, the DSCC, and establishment Dems (yeah, I'm looking at you, Ed Rendell.). They sabotaged this race in 2010, and it looks like they are trying to repeat that gross mistake this cycle.

3. I chatted with Rendell about this race last year, and you know what he told me?

"Nobody can beat Sestak"

I chatted with the head of DSCC last year, and you know what he told me?

"We've made our peace with Sestak".

So, what happened?

Sestak refused (as he did in 2010) to hire serious, professional staff, and to coordinate his campaign with any of the other campaigns in PA.

4. So why try to sabotage him, again?

He won a House seat in a district not especially dem-friendly, so he seems to have some idea how to run a winning campaign. This seems to be more about "bringing Joe to heel" to use an expression the establishment can understand. I can't really blame Sestak for not wanting to play along. They should just get out of his way. Instead they are giving McGinty the DSCC money marked for the general election. Just like they did in 2010. Politics as usual - makes me ill.
