MY sources tell me there will be a major protest at Grand Central Terminal tonight...

...against the Republican candidates who will be speaking in the adjacent Hyatt Hotel.

If you're catching a train, it's recommended you use the north end (47th/48th Streets) entrances.

Do you know what time they're speaking? I come into the 42nd street entrance around 5:15. Maybe I should take the subway.

Evening rush-hour train commuters heading back to Fairfield County should be prepared for crowds and street closures Thursday evening near Grand Central due to a protest of an appearance by presidential candidate Donald Trump, Metro-North warns.

"Due to nearby demonstrations starting at 5 p.m.," Metro-North says on its website, "Please allow for extra travel time to/from Grand Central. Customers are encouraged to use the North End Access to the Terminal at either the 47th & Madison or 48th & Park Entrances."

Thousands of protesters are expected outside the Grand Hyatt Hotel, which is next to Grand Central. Trump is to appear at a $1,000 per person New York State Republican Gala event there. Fellow GOP hopefuls Ted Cruz and John Kasich are also expected to attend the gala.
