http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/armed-anti-muslim-rally-georgia-quran_us_570d0cc9e4b0885fb50e371dI support Donald Trump because I like his agenda on dealing with the threats to this country his ban on Islamic immigration, Jim Stachowiak told The Huffington Post over the phone Tuesday, adding that Muslim immigrants and refugees to the U.S. are no more than an invading horde or army.
Stachowiak is the organizer behind the United against Islam and Islamic immigration refugee rally on Monday in Atlanta, which he wrote is to raise public awareness to what we perceive as a threat to our nation from Islamic immigration and refugees....
Planned activities include the desecration of a copy of the Quran, as well as pictures of the Prophet Muhammad, Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama and U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
Hillary but not Bernie?

(1,565 posts)I appreciate it very much.
While I find this to be extremely childish behavior, his I mean, I respect his right to do it.

(35,077 posts)Just like Jon Ritzheimer, when it was clear Muslims weren't going to martyr him, he 'went into hiding' because of all the 'death threats' that he couldn't produce. Muslims, like everyone else in the US, have jobs and many are reasonable and some are themselves very progressive.
I think people like Ritzheimer and this guy have some form of (possibly histrionic) personality disorder, we should really urge them to seek treatment.

(7,107 posts)I doubt he would do the same thing to a bible, but NEVER let other people religious beliefs infringe on your free speech and actions.

(43,185 posts)I understand thinking he technically has the right of free speech to express one's self, but that's far from approving of said actions.
There's legitimate thought and input and discourse, and then there's just the spewing forth of one's bigoted and hateful views for the sole purpose of demonstrating how bigoted and hateful you can get. The fact that he shows hatred towards not only Muslims but also the President and Secretary Clinton and numerous other individuals shows this is a deeply disturbed and hateful individual.
There's an ocean of difference between something like, say, Salman Rushdie and whatever the hell this shithead's about.
Save your applause. Please.

(78,249 posts)Jim Stachowiak, one of the event organizers is a Trump supporter according to a Huffington Post report last week. I support Donald Trump because I like his agenda on dealing with the threats to this country his ban on Islamic immigration, he explained. He also added that he believes Muslim immigrants and refugees to the U.S. are no more than an invading horde or army. ...
Despite no attendees, the organizers did destroy a Quran. Were not against Muslims, the man in the video below says to the media. He continued that the group is concerned about Islamic extremists not Joe Muhammad down the street mowing his yard.
The men had expected 200 rally attendants. Less than a hand full of people attended, all of which seemed to be organizers for the rally. In fact, there appeared to be more media attention than attention from participants of the demonstration.

And yes he has a first amendment Right to go out in Public and say dumb things. But if you scream fire enough and there isnt one eventually people figure out that there's not ACTUALLY a fire and that you're just blowing smoke.
I for one appreciate that he's letting the rest of the Village know exactly where it's (our) Idiots are and what they're up to. It makes babysitting them that much easier.
