IndyStar

Indiana Republican Party leaders have selected 57 delegates who could play a key role in nominating the party's presidential nominee at the Republican National Convention this summer.

Cardwell and his fellow state party leaders selected Indiana's at-large delegates Wednesday. District delegates were selected Saturday.

"Thirty of Indiana's delegates must vote for the winner of the state's May 3 primary during the first round of voting at the national convention. The other 27 delegates must vote for the top vote-getter in their congressional district."

If other states pick "insiders" the Republican floor fight might be less bloody than perhaps we've anticipated
