Is there something wrong with Vermont?

Just wondering after reading a couple posts about Vermont that weren't in the Vermont forum. Does Vermont have good fly-fishing?

(that I recall.) My folks had a vacay place there, and uncle and cousins lived there for years. BEAUTIFUL, among other things.

And therefore he is responsible for every problem that exists in Vermont. Private prisons, minority prisoners, potholes, mosquitoes, schools that need new roofs, poor fly fishing, expensive boat license fees, you name it. It's all Bernie's fault. NOT GOOD ENOUGH, BERNIE!

I have started - and deleted - any number of "let's compare Vermont and Arkansas" posts. SOOO easy to do, but deleted as they would be counter productive.

All I can say is that Vermont has a positive image nationwide; Clinton might wish her favorables were as good.

I'm not from there but my brother lives there (Burlington) and I also lived in Burlington for a year after college. It's such a beautiful state! I love Lake Champlain!

21. I saw a thread trashing Vermont over housing prisoners in Michigan, the thread was started by a

DUer from the State of Washington which uses the exact same Michigan prison to house their prisoners. Washington State houses more than three times the number of prisoners Vermont does in that MI facility.

In that thread, DUer from Massachusetts trashes Vermont for racial disparity in prison populations, Vermont is 1% black but has 11% black prisoners. Massachusetts has 8% black people and 28% black prisoners.

So Vermont sucks very much. But obviously Massachusetts and Washington suck even more. California takes the big cake, they house nearly 8,000 prisoners if various other States. But Vermont is to blame for that too. California is only doing what Vermont forces it to do!
