the transformational forces

firstly, ty starroute for these three words you said, back on some other thread.

I propose using "the transformational forces" as a frame, so that we, as DU'ers, may 'paint' a collective picture
inside said frame, of what a future could look like, were Bernie's visions come to pass.
Or Hillary's.

Do we ALL benefit?
How?
Serious pitchfork marching in the streets against a very strong militia?
Passive 'Hooverville"s ?
Cessation? Splitting the hemisphere into, "like-minded citizen over here/you others over there."?
What happens to mon and pop businesses?
What happens if the economy collapses and the food becomes either scarce or a wheelbarrow of cash for that loaf of bread?
What happens to those who have literally stolen the vast majority of the paper wealth?
Must we always suck on the teat of an 'over'?
What do we do about the 'others' who share in a belief that's in opposition to 'ours'?
"You say you want a revolution, Oh Yeh!" ("John Lennon, You're not the only one. I still haz BIG sadz when I hear that R word.&quot

I have read hundreds of sci-fi/fantasy in my 75 years here on this planet that have depicted various 'post event' scenarios.
I have been here in DU since '74 and have high regard for many (a HUUUUGe many) regulars to ask, perhaps, to
give some thoughtful words.
I humbly ask for personal visional brush strokes, realizing I'm a low poster and maybe asking for a lot.
Describe a happy medium.
Describe your dream.
What can >WE< become?

btw I am one of the millions who've sent $$, of my minimal SocSecty, to support Bernie as I believe that, to accurately
describe a 'problem' is to uncover the 'solution'.

In a previous life, '72-'81, I lived in the upper NE corner of WA.
A 4 lumber mill town, running them 24/7.
Trees so big it took 2, sometimes 3 trucks, to haul one down to one of the mills.
New housing starts driving the economy back then.
Two of the mills converted their wigwam burners into steam generated electricity, using the chips and sawdust.
Town pride parades down main.

Then...
Trees became smaller.
Forest Service mandates restricting status quo 'git er dun' prevailing attitudes.
Oil went up, there in the mid 70s. As did the fed's interest rate increase.
CRASH!
Huge many friends, and customers of the service business I earned wages at, became suddenly un-employed.
Yuck

Describe a re-training scenario.
Describe a guaranteed basic minimum, from birth to death.
Describe a council of respected deciders, as we must not descend into chaos.
